It was reported by Johna Goldberg this morning that Newsweek Magazine has enlisted the services of President Obama to write a piece on the current tragedy in Haiti. Although a noble cause, and truth be told Obama will have one of his staffers write the piece, this request is further evidence of the blurring of the lines between the press and the political process.
Also of note is the fact that in the past Newsweek has had a rather aggressive tilt in their coverage of Obama and his administration. The question that comes to mind is; why not just issue a press release which is normal SOP in cases similar to Haiti’s tragedy. Considering this point, the next viable question is what is the motive or payoff for the exclusive scoop to Newsweek?
Payoff: Newsweek is one of Obama’s top supporters, they have kowtowed and idolized Obama from the beginning, the bill is now being called due now that Newsweeks redesign and change of focus is coming out of the gate. They need a home run to pull this off, what better way than to plaster Obama’s face on their newly redesigned rag.
Motivation: All kidding aside, Obama loves Obama, no mirror is safe, I can see the Prez in 20 years (living in exile) paging through all the covers he garnered while in office, the man is a narcissist plain and simple.
Not to dilute the crisis in Haiti, but this is not the best use of office to be pandering to the media, I don’t think the subscription rate in Haiti will increase due to this article, and by now becoming Author In Chief it further degrades the office of President.
Now if I can only find that recipe piece by Lincoln, or was that FDR, no Trueman, I am making the President some humble pie!

I am adverse in giving David Brooks any further attention, but…several adjectives come to mine; vapid, pseudo intellectual, narcissistic self professed “educated class” blowhole, pop to the surface rather quickly. Dave penned Tea Party Teens yesterday a wispy, dare I say view of anyone outside the liberal print media is uneducated kind of article, or as Dave phrases it a “fractious confederation of Americans who are defined by what they are against”.
Nice tat Dave here is the tit, Dave your rather snooty opinion carries no more weight than any other talking head, and for you to get all intellectual on our lowly tea party asses, deserves a dual, (of words). Below lets address just a schooch of the lofty observations you alledge, point counter point, game on.
DAVE: The public is not only shifting from left to right. Every single idea associated with the educated class has grown more unpopular over the past year.
MP: So then Dave you are saying the left, educated class as you put it is moving to the right, but the right is a “fractious confederation of Americans” does that not make the right smarter?
DAVE: The educated class believes in global warming, so public skepticism about global warming is on the rise. The educated class supports abortion rights, so public opinion is shifting against them. The educated class supports gun control, so opposition to gun control is mounting.
MP: First, yes, yes, yes on the oppositions stand, heres why, and let’s ponder a little. Global warming, the educated class believes this because they believe in science, things they can prove, just look at all the evidence, this Dave is the limitation of the elite intellect, and your liberal moonbattedness, (yes I know it is not a word). Truth be told, even with the best science of the day, no one can prove this is not a normal cycle the earth is going through and there is little we can do to stop it, that’s the fatalist view, but this opinion is one that is making it’s rounds among the edumacated folk. Before we tax the middle class into oblivion, more definitive unbiased information needs to be reviewed, remember scientist don’t get paid if they do not receive grants to do such.
DAVE: The story is the same in foreign affairs. The educated class is internationalist, so isolationist sentiment is now at an all-time high, according to a Pew Research Center survey. The educated class believes in multilateral action, so the number of Americans who believe we should “go our own way” has risen sharply.
MP: Dave lots of people are trying to kill us, America has been the have’s to the worlds have not’s that fact doesn’t engender a great deal of good will from third world nations. In the past to overcome this label the U.S. government has either thrown money at the problem, or become occupiers, neither of which is in the best interest of the effected party or the United States.
DAVE: The tea party movement is a large, fractious confederation of Americans who are defined by what they are against. They are against the concentrated power of the educated class. They believe big government, big business, big media and the affluent professionals are merging to form self-serving oligarchy — with bloated government, unsustainable deficits, high taxes and intrusive regulation.
MP: Large group, yes, fractious confederation, naw, real people Dave, one’s that work for a living or have worked hard and are tired of being taxes without representation best describes the Tea Party Movement. As to the second part, is that a trick question, remember I am a fractious confederate, but either you are trying to fool us bumpkins or we agree on; “they believe big government, big business, big media and the affluent professionals are merging to form self-serving oligarchy — with bloated government, unsustainable deficits, high taxes and intrusive regulation”. Why would anyone want big government Dave, it costs to much and is highly inefficient, big business, hey I am all for that, what my kind do not care for is unfair competition garnered by backroom political dealings with the help of lobbyist, and lastly we have been living in an “oligarchy” since JP Morgan, John D Rockefeller, and Senator Nelson W. Aldrich met on Jekyll Island in 1910 setting the ground work for the Federal Reserve, so woops too late we have been an oligarchy for 100 years now!
Chances are Dave you will never read this post and that is a shame, like you I have an opinion, and that opinion is you have been running in elite circles so long you have sorely lost touch with middle America. In fact I would say you fear middle America, why else would you be so condescending in your article about the tea party movement? Time to come down off that pedestal and talk to a few of us folk, you might be surprised at how cogent we can be when motivated by what middle America see’s as high crimes and treason being committed by our elected officials. No hurry though, we don’t tire easy or give up when our freedom is at stake, take your time, maybe after cocktails at the club you could squeeze us in.

After watching President Obama on 60 minutes tonight a moment of clarity occurred that has been puzzling me for sometime. Why with the legislation coming out of the Whitehouse can Obama be polling so well?
Now “polling well” is a subjective statement, and Obama has slid, no he has collapsed in the polls, but given our current economic and unemployment problems his numbers could be far worse.
On tonight’s 60 Minutes show Obama’s persona came off cool, detached, defensive and argumentative when pushed on the issues. Give Steve Croft credit, he was pitching some pretty good sliders. Then when the interview was supposed to be over, the producer brought up one more question, the “party crashers. Obama came into his own and shifted gears into glowing confidence, was humorous in the use of sarcasm, and came off as a guy you might drink a beer with, quite the opposite of the defensive law professor when Croft was dishing Obama tough questions.
This dovetails into an articles by Matt Taibbi and Glen Greenwald addressing the cult like behavior on the far sides of the parties, both excellent observations and worth the read. Condensed scan of the articles brings to attention the vehement chasm behind the blind follower, and one that is politically involved. Where the blind follower in short do see Obama as a savior, and hold that image as their base belief, the more politically astute are beginning questioning Obamas motives and actions. The support of the cultish followers is out of inspiration and not based politics and unwavering, the independents that voted for Obama are leaving in droves and the main cause for Obamas numbers falling, they see his words and actions are not moderate, far left from it.
So when you hold the adoration of a large group of followers which is based in emotion alone, you have an army of loyal protectors eager to do ones bidding. The issue is the cult followers are driving the division between accountability and blind acceptance, and quite frankly doing their country a disservice. The blind acceptance of Obama the man it an entirely separate issue from the real issues and policy his administration is attempting to implement, which in fact deserve the negative attention, or at least an unbiased review. This cult acceptance is leveraged and amplified by Obamas handlers who jump at any chance to keep the negativity personal rather than address the left agenda in an open debate.
This shell game is played supremely well, so well that it produces “cover” for Obama’s real agenda, and by using ridicule. and projecting blame on past administrations, Obama appears to be running from his own shadow. Not exactly leadership qualities. If the Obama team would realize the criticism is based on his liberal agenda, and not the man, some middle ground might be found for consensus. But to continue to play Chicago politics and attempt to either buy or cut off the legs of detractors will lead to further party division and stagnation, neither of which is good for the health of our country.
President Obama is an intelligent individual, and you cannot win the Presidency on charm alone, or can you? That is the 12.7 trillion dollar question we all must face, Act One is over, intermission is approaching fast, before you know it 2010 will be here, and if the show continues like it has people will be heading for the exits, worship or not, even if Obama gives himself a B+.

In less than one year the bloom has fallen off the rose of Obama’s approval ratings, depending on which poll you choose the Obama approval rating is ranging as high as 53% approval (CBS, go figure) to a low of 46% (Fox News, again go figure). Normally when a politicians approval drops this fast in such a short time, a behavior change is evident, but this is no “normal” administration.
The abnormal to this presidency is business as usual and a continuation and pressing ahead with their Cloward-Piven strategy of manufactured crisis. I am not the first nor do I imagine the last to point out the eerie consistency of Obamas administration and the wreck-less ways of Cloward-Piven. In short Cloward Piven suggests, “In their 1966 article, “that the ruling classes used welfare to weaken the poor; that by providing a social safety net, the rich doused the fires of rebellion. Poor people can advance only when “the rest of society is afraid of them”.
The reasoning behind the strategy calls for, “cadres of aggressive organizers” to use “demonstrations to create a climate of militancy.” Intimidated by threats of black violence, politicians would appeal to the federal government for help. Carefully orchestrated media campaigns, carried out by friendly, leftwing journalists, would float the idea of “a federal program of income redistribution,” in the form of a guaranteed living income for all — working and non-working people alike. Local officials would clutch at this idea like drowning men to a lifeline. They would apply pressure on Washington to implement it. With every major city erupting into chaos, Washington would have to act.
If you look at Obama’s proposed health care, cap and trade, financial regulation, and topical today the Copenhagen climate meetings, add in the Obama’s litany of Czars, most of which either have community organizing backgrounds, or are far outside of mainstream thinking in regard to the tenets of the Constitution, the logical conclusion is our nation is being run by a far left radically thinking administration, who’s goal is to implement the above mentioned strategy to its fullest no matter what the polls show.
The roots of Cloward-Piven were germinated in another well know radical agency ACORN, which began to spear head in 1982 the “voting rights movement”, “Project Vote”, and “Human Serve” all of which was tasked to register low to moderate voters who in past elections did not turn out to vote. Not a coincidence Obama began his community activism in the ACORN organization, and beat the streets for the ACORN platform, and assisted in the “Motor Vote Law” which was passed into law by Bill Clinton in 1993. It is key to point out that the money behind the expansion of ACORN was none other than the Open Society Institute also called the Shadow Party, which was run and funded by George Soros.
None of this information is new or startling, what is untenable is the fact that Obama’s ties to ACORN and Soros were common knowledge during the election but were dismissed by the major media, now labeled the “lamestream media”, which constituted the third peg or leg in the implementation of the strategy. Due to Obama’s Baptist preacher oratory style, taken from both Rev Wright and the far more honorable Martin Luther King, Soros and the far left had their media angel to begin the process of spreading the wealth and furthering the divide between the haves and the have nots.
The one variable, and possible saving grace is Obama and his handlers overestimated Obama’s star quality, where he still is popular as a person, the Obama administrations policies continue to drop on almost a daily basis, clearly showing that words and actions of this radical team do not match, and people are catching on. Great damage has been done, deficits, jobless rates, and costly legislation continue to hamper the American way of life, but the hope and change that was sold to a wanting populace is now being recognized as the greatest political sham of all time.
The truth will come out as to the motives of Obama and his cronies, and in this authors opinion history will not be kind to our current President, for he is accountable for his actions, and the people are starting to see, the thrill is gone.

Seems ole Henry is not happy staying focused on the largest power grab in world history, the Cap and Trade bill of which he sponsored, now Hank wants to wrap his moonbat wings around the media. Accuracy in Media reported today, “Rep. Henry Waxman trekked from Capitol Hill to Federal Trade Commission headquarters today to deliver a message to journalists and news consumers: All of you need to reach a consensus about working with the government in order to bail out the struggling news industry”.
Waxbat went on to say, “this recent depression in the media sector is not cyclical,” Waxman said. “It is structural”. Ahhh Hank what do you know about the media other than to implement government intervention in yet another free market dancing on the constitution and the first amendment while you try to use the public’s money to buy left wing press loyalty.
Other brilliant observations and statements by Sen Waxbat, “but the government should partner with the media industry to ensure a sound future for journalism”, and lastly, “There needs to be a consensus within the media industry and the larger community it serves” before the government acts, Waxman said. “We have to figure out together how to preserve that kind of reporting.”
There are so many insane, biased, statements in the article that you have to wonder what color is the sky in the liberal moonbats world. The tome goes on to explain due to market forces, and arcane management media outlets cannot compete, hmmm this does not seem to be a problem for Fox News?
At least one of the attendees at the FTC workshop had a grip on the issue when he stated, “Firewalls can work in private businesses when management insists that they be respected,” Tapscott wrote, “but it’s different when government is involved because nobody can say no to power-happy federal bureaucrats armed with regulatory authority or litigious Justice Department attorneys packing subpoenas and make it stick.”
If this attempt was not so obvious in its attempt to control the dissenting voice against Washington and its political members it would be great irony, but Waxbat with his, in the hip pocket followers are lining up for the gravy train of federal funds to cement their future job security. A reporter will now be tasked to speak a different truth, one that is acceptable to the food source. The cannons of journalism will be nothing more than a forethought, the message will be controlled, and propaganda based to the betterment of the sponsor our very own government.
Yet another bad idea from Hank who also brought us, Obamacare, Cap and Trade, now the media bailout, a thinly veiled attempt at controlling the watchdog. I do hope Sen. Hankbat will reconsider his pet projects, history has a long memory.

Eight months ago an emergency session of congress met with the sole purpose of addressing the AIG bonus issue. In what can be called a knee jerk reaction, congress passed legislation prohibiting the payment of bonus monies that were part of the companies employment contracts. This action then and now broke the law as it is written in the constitution, at the time little if any press interest was given to this history making moment.
Dateline: 11/28/09 ACORN can receive pending federal payments justice department says. “David Barron, the acting assistant attorney general for the Office of Legal Counsel, wrote in a memo last month that the ban “should not be read as directing or authorizing HUD to breach a pre-existing binding contractual obligation to make payments to ACORN or its affiliates, subsidiaries or allied organizations where doing so would give rise to contractual liability.”
Double standard, clearly. Where the Democratic congress in an effort to save face broke the law and the Constitution to “punish” AIG for its lowly capitalistic ways, they and the Obama administration have been busy behind the scenes developing ways to circumvent the intent of congress and it’s finding, “no more federal dollars should flow to ACORN.”
The clear politicization of the Justice department and payback to Acorn is shameful and amounts to nothing more than old-fashion cronyism states Rep Darrell Issa. What is clear is that depending on needs of the Obama administration their view of law is subjective to the benefit of the continuation of their causes.
ACORN has been shown to be a front and a fraud for numerous scurrilous causes, they have been accused of voter registration fraud, several of it’s founders have been accused of bilking millions of federal dollars, and at the very least based on the consistency of the released tapes by O’Keefe and Giles they at best have a serious human resource issue.
Also apparent, the Obama administration could not risk exposing their concern for the attacks on their golden goose ACORN, and what is becoming an obvious pattern for this administration they twist the law to their interpretation and protect what has been shown to be a highly corrupt organization.
To the Obama administration, “truth is what you make it” and will use every latitude in the Constitution to prove that point, this tact reveals that we have high powered attorneys running our country whom are hellbent on using the law to achieve there means. This is nothing new in the political world, what is novel is the ease in which the administration pulls off the blatant favoritism for some, and alienation and attack for others, all with a smile, Chicago style.

The decision to hold the 9/11 trials in New York is playing right into the hands of the terrorist who see our Nation as the preeminent cause of universal evil. The Obama administration under the guise of bringing the “evil doers” of the 9/11 attack to justice, are covertly trying to place the blame on the Bush administration and distract the nation from it’s dovish stance. Due to the law of discovery, and the differences between a military trial and a civil trial the prosecutor will have to release any and all information gathered supporting the charges since detention of the offending members.
The Obama administration is willing to deal with the blow-back and anger that will be surfaced by the highly visible trial in an effort to further cement there cause that America is the great devil and Obama is here to change that perception by holding the military and anyone else who stands in their way accountable. So basically Obama is saying regardless of due cause and clear reason, under his leadership they will not stoop to the level of the last administration in the protection of the United States, even if our sovereignty is in danger.
Clear message here? You Betch YA, and every single Americans threat level will be increased by this selfish grandstanding by the Obama administration. With the onset of this trail we are, one showing the enemy our methods of counter intelligence, and two setting a new baseline for the rules of war. The obvious byproduct of this action is it will empower every nut bag with a truck of fertilizer and a drum of ammonia to attack our sovereignty without the fear of retribution.
The administration will offer the production and access to the world stage by utilizing the full power of the liberal press and its voice. This kind of attention cannot be purchased on the cheap, and now like everything else in this administration the access will be provided for free by the growing bureaucracy of Obama’s vision of the United States government. In other words turn the tragic event of 9/11 into self serving political theater.
The hypocrisy is clearly evident in that the most recent terrorist attack by Nadal Hasan at Fort Hood was addressed by Obama himself with the following comment, “President urges Congress to hold off on shooting rampage investigation, asking lawmakers “to resist temptation to turn this tragic event into political theater”.
The transparency and motives of the new administration are becoming clearer each day when the individuals in charge will attack the efforts of the CIA, military, and the past administration for there actions in a time of war on one hand and then protect a Muslim terrorist attack on our soil by using the office of President to steer opinion!
The continued inconsistency of words and actions of the Obama administration continue to puzzle its ardent admirers, and incite its critics, and most damming of all, empower it’s enemies. The lack of action, right or wrong in Afghanistan further adds doubt as to what or who the United States is and for what it stands for. This clipping of the eagles wings is creating hope and change in the terrorist community, and grounding the Nation by its weakening of the standards and morals that built our freedom. War is never fair, nor do the actions of individuals fit into a neatly defined box under its duress, by the metaphorical “dropping of our pants” to the world stage we further endanger our status as the paragon of freedom, that my friends could be the end of us and the U.S if allowed to continue..

As is becoming clear to the Obama administration, close inspection uncovers many flaws. In an effort to quiet the new governance’s detractors, quick and immediate attention was offered in the form of a frontal attack on Fox News, with benignly chatty Anita Dunn.
Dunn’s attempt to silence the negative slant of Fox primarily Beck, and Hannity is a clear effort and attempt by the administrations “legal rights” division (or deep bench of staff attorney’s), “they are coming after Fox for spreading lies, anger”, and some pretty darn good observations from the pundits on the right.
This strategy of Dunn coming out and attacking Fox for close to 9 minutes in a hyper paranoid screechy delivery is a clear sign of mounting desperation . This is a critical element for the press now playing out, the administrations attack on a specific news site is new territory, and this new strategy in clearly testing the latitudes of first amendment.
It has long been rumored that behind the scenes Cass Sunstien is testing the limits of the press, including internet, and blog activity, this fact has been long documented. Sunstien per his writings, believes in small bites, similar to a Parana, the bite may sting but the host gets over it until the next bite, and so on and so on, until bone. By implementing strategy’s to shift control over to the governments side of the fence, any effort must be covert, behind the scenes, for the simple fact Americans get nasty when they are continually lied too.
So alas, the rest of the world can be numb to the fact that as a Nation we are in a power grab, which is coming from both sides of the isle. This is a nasty little game of propaganda the new leadership team is brewing, of which the end result is yet to be seen, odds are 50/50 they can pull it off, if not stopped.
But never underestimate the general public when it comes to sorting things out, they know when action and words don’t match, they also can witness these brash overstatements of political diatribe on any of the state owned media outlets, where only “good and happy news” is put forth.
We are a resourceful people when our backs are to the wall, and each of us can come to there own conclusions, and from the tone of the argument someone better start stepping up and getting this nation back to work, in due haste.
Now is the time to set aside personal agendas, this battle wages here at home, and we have two overseas, focus on the ball Mr President, the economy is in dire need of some confidence, and the unemployed grows short for few long for many, don’t stand under the hoop and just get rebounds, play some defense, and shoot!! And oh yeah, quit with the air balls!

I guess I should not be surprised that the Hollywood liberal elite see nothing wrong with Polanski’s actions, they live in a dream world, never want for money, and the most difficult decision of the day is what type of purified water to drink. Also where’s Charlie Sheen, to my amazement he has not come to Polanski’s aid with his normal repartee, George Bush was behind Polanski’s arrest!!
Let’s look at the definition of sodomy as seen in the eyes of the law, “any sexual act which does not lead to procreation. It also has a range of similar euphemisms.[1] These acts typically include oral sex, anal sex and bestiality”, the actual act of sodomy which was rumored to be anal sex, initially was not released due to the effort in protecting the victim, and since no pets were found at the scene all signs point to that option. Given the above information it becomes clear that Polanski is just plain demented and his actions have no defense!
Now as Woopie puts it “rape rape”, “is an assault by a person involving sexual intercourse with or without sexual penetration of another person without that person’s consent”. This is a crime regardless of age, and considering a 13 year is basically defenseless, both mentally and physically to the advances of an elder in a position of authority, add to that she was wacked out on a Quaalude and liquor, does the word vulnerable come to mind? Any rationalization that the event was consensual is beyond comprehension when you keep in mind this is a young child, end result, this is perverse, a rape and a crime!!
The irony and madness of this crime was at the time Polanski got off with a 90 day psychiatric incarceration, of which he served 44 days, five other charges were dropped! The reasons Polanski performed the crime where never released, nor was his profile or mental evaluation, both were suppressed by his team of attorneys. Any person with any sense of morality and in their right mind cannot condone Polanski’s behavior, the fact that he ran from the event, and has lived in exile for the last 35 plus years shows a man of weak mental and moral character.
What Polanski did was immoral and illegal, but the Hollywood dream makers have chose to defend his actions, I singled out Woopie Goldberg due to her ignorance and attempt at humor in a situation where it was totally uncalled for. But she is not alone, there is a petition making its rounds in Hollywood, which as of today 100’s of so called stars have signed with the sole purpose of having Polanski’s charges dropped. One can only wonder if we as a society have reached the decadence of Rome, is that fire I smell, or just a pack of smoldering self righteous narcissist Moonbats crowing?

In an effort to expand the Obama health care message John Holdren has implement his Obamoclone program ahead of schedule, due to roll out prior to the 2010 election a beta was implemented to assist the Obama administrations cause and support for their gold plated health care platform. Initial reaction to the Obamoclones was consistent in that in each instance regardless of network the message was the same, Holdren is being hearled as a genius.
The Obamoclones appeared on This Week with George Stephanopoulos on ABC. And Meet the Press on NBC. And Face the Nation on CBS. In between, he is going to sit down for interviews on CNN and Univision. (Fox News was omitted due to software issue in clone six).
Do to the overwhelming success of the Holdren clone program, expect an early roll out of the Series One Emanuelator cyborg which will be shipped to the remaining ACORN and SIEU offices by Christmas. The administration has said, “given the importance of our message regardless of what the people think, we see both the Obamoclone and the Emanuelator as key tools in endlessly beating the message into the mind of the public”. The administration went on to say, “you know when we don’t get what we want or our message appears vague, baseless, and costs more money than the American public can possibly afford we feel it is important that the people get a second, third, fourth, fifth, sixth, chance to hear the message until we are sure they understand!
The Obama administration is also in talks with Verizon for the purchase of their slogan “Can Ya Hear Me Now”, reports on the success of those talks in next weeks Moonbat of the day, stay tuned!
